The Grand Old Flag, restored on Belle Isle

Today we ran an op-ed by John Armaly, Jr., a Walled Lake businessman and owner of Armaly Brands, on his family’s donation of new American flags (and money for their upkeep) at Belle Isle.

There was a ceremony at Belle Isle today, in honor of Flag Day, during which the old tattered flag was brought down and the new one flown in its place. We were unable to attend but a kind source sent along some nice photographs. Take a look.
