May the best fundraiser win

The election of the next president of the United States is a boon for the ad industry. Some research groups think that the total spent will reach $2.9 billion.

Most of the money is being spent by a handful of billionaires, people that will benefit the most or suffer the most according to who’s elected.

But it is a free country and you can spend your money any way you please. You could educate the poor or you can elect people that will make it hard for a poor person to be educated. You could feed the people in war-torn countries or you can elect people that will make sure they continue to kill one another.

The people with the money make the difference. That is why people will do anything for money, because it gives power to bring change — any kind of change. If the best fundraiser wins, maybe that person can convince the big spenders to restore the economy by giving $2.9 billion more to redo cities like Detroit. It needs a makeover.
