Jeb, keeping it real

On the heels of Hurricane Isaac’s slow roll of the Gulf, Ann Romney and Chris Christie make a valiant effort to keep conservatives in the game.  I think Ann’s speech reminds us we’re all mortal, and Chris Christie delivered a speech that Mitt can’t hope to follow, and actually took responsibility by having both parties at fault.

If that was the point – to get independents to like Chris Christie – it worked.  And Ann Romney definitely made us like her more.  But all of it still asks a question that hasn’t been answered, “Is Mitt really the guy?”

Maybe Thursday, the “mystery” speaker might change this.  And let’s just be honest, the only possible orator available to fire up the base is Herman “Sugar” Cain.  Of course, Herman might upstage Romney as well, because of his sheer charisma and style.  And if that happens, this might get ugly on top of the RNC sell-out of today.

So to distract people from the blunder, I found this tweet.

I present Jeb doing what the Bush kids do best.  After all, it could be worse, right?

Mako out.

**Updated:  Jeb corrected his tweet, but I am disturbed by his liberal apostrophe use…**
