Cox: RNC wrap-up: Romney presents a vision we can believe in

The 2012 Republican National Convention ended in a crescendo of celebration. Newt, Jeb, Marco and Clint entertained the convention and warmed up the crowd. It was a night of celebration of out candidate excepting the nomination and formally starting the campaign.

The Michigan delegation had a front-row seat to see its native son, Mitt Romney, accept the GOP’s presidential nomination.

The floor of the convention was electric, security was tight and everyone wanted to be there to experience this historic night. The Michigan delegation waved foam mittens that read “Don’t mess with the Mitt” all night.

The RNC demonstrated Mitt’s commitment and dedication to women by highlighting prominent members of his administration. The enthusiasm on the floor reached peak levels when U.S. Olympic team members graced the stage. The videos and speakers provided an intimate view of Mitt Romney as a pastor, friend and leader. The speeches were emotional, moving and real examples of a kind, smart and inspiring Mitt Romney.

Clint Eastwood was a surprising guest who entertained the convention with the element of surprise and off the cuff comments. He was funny and crass and the delegates absolutely loved it.

Mitt’s entrance onto the stage from the floor had the delegates in a frenzy. The fact that it was reminiscent to the President entering the House Chambers before a State of the Union Address was not lost on this crowd and we LOVED it.

Mitt’s speech hit it out of the park. He revealed his love for his wife, family, church and country with finesse and grace. He highlighted what is wrong with the current administration and what he would do differently.

Mitt Romney presented a new picture, a new hope and a new vision for an America we can all believe in.

It’s time for America’s Comeback, and it is time to believe in America again.
