Vote to protect or exploit America

There is no doubt this time around this country is at the crossroad of philosophical governing. The purpose of government is in question in the 2012 election as never before. The United States of America is taking a new shape and all the cards are on the table. There are no rules that can’t be changed and no law that can’t be broken.

Former Gov. Mitt Romney said it best: There are 47 percent of the people in this country that are Barack Obama people and about 47 percent that are Romney people. Romney is not trying the reach the Obama people and Obama is not trying to reach Romney people.

Romney wants a country where the poor are the subjects of the rich and live according to the will of the rich. Obama wants a country where the poor are protected by the government from exploitation by the rich.

The fathers of America were indeed for the individual being protected by the government from the rich. They had enough of that kind of exploitation in Europe. But they wrote the Declaration of Independence while having slaves of the their own. However, the slaves were not Europeans for the most part and that made it easy for the early fathers of the country to overlook it for a hundred years or so.

They woke up to a civil war.

After this election we will know if we are a country that protects or exploits the poor.
