It was believed by some, including myself, that the “Tough Nerd” showed what the state of Michigan would get when they elected this Snyder guy. He is really my kind of push-ahead guy. The “Nerd” was unlike the GOP’s hurt, hate and divide crowd. Gov. Rick Snyder wasn’t Scott Walker, John Kasich or Rick Perry.
Now, we have discovered that he, like other Republicans, decided it was better to win the governorship and then state the case for right to work than to lose the election for governor. Gov. Snyder took notes from people like Dick DeVos, John Engler and others who are running think tanks backed with money from the Koch brothers and the many PACs and think tanks they finance.
There are groups that want to de-fund unions, discourage union membership and discriminate against the union worker. Today, of the 29 Delphi plants taken over by hedge fund groups, only four are left and not one union worker is in any of them.
The governor of Michigan is no longer in charge of himself; the major money Republican PACs and super investors have gotten to him.
The “Nerd” has changed.
