There are a lot of people in the state of New York upset about the publishing of the names and addresses of legal gun owners in their area. The right to know where ex-sex offenders live is OK by most people, but they think gun owners should have the right to privacy.
They feel it is important to know who might rape your wife and child, but not who might kill you in a mad act of gun violence. The people are upset because they feel gun owners are in control at all times, but ex-sex offenders will lose control at some point and time.
Some gun owners do lose control, and when they do we all suffer. We all need to know who these people are. People are more dangerous with guns than without them.
We have the right to know.
