The 2013 Detroit Auto Show is a typical mix of sexy concepts and muscle car testosterone. So what’s in it for a nerd?

Plenty as it turns out.

Governor Rick “One Tough Nerd” Snyder toured the show this week and told The Detroit News that there were plenty of nice cars. But what really got his attention was the electronic wizardry inside. Specifically the wireless charging station for your iPhone in the Toyota. . . Toyota Something? Toyota Avalon, governor.

Yes, the Toyota Avalon. Now that’s a nerdmobile.
