Flashpoint: Johnson on Detroit's crisis

Tune in at 10 AM Sunday to watch Detroit News Politics contributor Bill Johnson on WDIV-Channel 4′s”Flashpoint,” hosted by Devin Scillian.

Bill joins in a roundtable of analysts to discuss Detroit’s future in the wake of Mayor Bing’s State of the City address last week. Other panelists: Daniel Howes, columnist for the Detroit News; Bankole Thompson, editor of the Michigan Chronicle and author of a forthcoming book on Detroit; and former Detroit City Councilwoman Sheila Cockrel.

Bill Johnson
Bill Johnson is an award-winning freelance journalist and former Detroit News columnist. He was CEO for the Wayne County Commission, 2003-2010, where he administered a $9 million budget and coordinated the daily operations of commission departments and functions. He was press secretary for Wayne Co. Executive Bill Lucas from 1983 until 1986. He has been a frequent Detroit radio and television commentator and has won broadcast journalism awards for investigative reporting for the Associated Press and UPI. He runs his own political consulting firm, the Bill Johnson Group.
