Kwame guilty on 24 counts. Finally, Detroit can put the former thug mayor in its rear view mirror.

Kilpatrick didn’t put Detroit in its current financial mess, but his self-dealing took precedence over what was best for the city. That set Detroit back. My interview in reaction to the verdict with Brooks Patterson, Oakland County Executive – and frequent Kwame sparring partner. Excerpt:

“A historic day,” says Brooks. “Thank God it was a major statement by the jury. They dropped the anvil and that’s what it’ll take to move on from this awful era.”
