Kilpatrick didn’t put Detroit in its current financial mess, but his self-dealing took precedence over what was best for the city.
After closing arguments in Kwame Kilpatrick’s Public Corruption Trial, I posted an entry asking that everyone remain patient and allow the jurors to deliberate.
Kilpatrick left office in 2008. Since then, the city has failed to do anything to right its sinking ship.
One name that was not mentioned to replace Levin – former Senate hopeful, Detroit mayor, now convicted felon, Kwame Kilpatrick.
