R.I.P. Crisp by Yosi: HBO axes How to Make it in America

Now we’ll never know what happens with Crisp jeans, because HBO has canceled “How to Make it in America.”

HBO’s cancelling of the sophomore series leaves all sorts of threads hanging, and yes I totally meant to make that pun with the word “threads” because “How to Make it in America” is about clothing design. Pay attention, people. For example, will Eddie Kaye Thomas survive his prison stint? Will those rebel designers at Neanderthal continue to stay at the cutting edge of fashion design? Will Yosi and Nancy’s marriage survive? And what will happen with Rasta Monsta?

Sadly, we’ll never know. But at least we’ll always have “How to Make it in America’s” supercool opening credits sequence, which captured the spirit of New York City better than the show was ever able to itself.

RIP, “How to Make it in America.” You forever changed the way we look at hoodies.
