OK, by now, anybody who cares knows my Oscar picks for the top six categories, which are real freaking exclusive, because as far as I can tell, they are virtually EVERYBODY’s Oscar picks for the top six categories.
They go: Artist, Artist, Jean Dujardin, Viola Davis, Christopher Plummer, Octavia Spencer, Fall asleep in your Fritos.
So here, let me go out on a limb and make a seven more picks. Not all of them — really, who cares about sound editing — and as always, these aren’t necessarily who I want but who will win:
Best original screenplay — Woody Allen (“Midnight in Paris”)
Best adapted screenplay — Alexander Payne etc. (“The Descendants”)
Best animated Feature — “Rango”
Best Foreign Feature — “A Separation” (should be best picture)
Best documentary — “Undefeated”
Best Animated Short Film — “The Fantastic Flying Books of Morris Lessmore”
Best Live Action Short Film — “Tuba Atlantic”
