Charts: Lionel Richie hits No. 1. Wait, is that right?

Yes, you are reading that right: Lionel Richie’s “Tuskegee” hits No. 1 on this week’s Billboard Top 200 albums chart, selling 129,000 copies its third week in stores, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

For the 62-year-old Richie, “Tuskegee” marks his first No. 1 set in more than 25 years, since “Dancing on the Ceiling” hit No. 1 back in 1986, back when Nicole Richie was 5 years old. “Tuskegee” — which features country versions of Richie’s biggest hits and cameos from Willie Nelson, Shania Twain, Kennys Chesney and Rogers and more — was No. 4 on last week’s chart.

Adele’s “21″ is STILL at No. 2, shifting another 92,000 units, while Nicki Minaj, Monica and One Direction round out the top 5. Meanwhile, Madonna’s “MDNA,” which debuted at No. 1 two weeks ago and fell to No. 8 last week, tumbles outside the Top 10.
