Charts: Zac Brown returns to No. 1 in miserable sales week

Good news for the Zac Brown Band: They return to No. 1 on this week’s Billboard Top 200 albums chart with their latest album, “Uncaged.” Bad news for the music industry: The album sold 48,000 copies this week, the lowest sales for a No. 1 album since February 2011, Billboard reports.

Ouch.

Moving on, Nas’ “Life is Good” falls one spot to No. 2, while the Gaslight Anthem land at No. 3 with their latest, “Handwritten.” It’s the group’s highest-charting effort to-date.

Passion Pit’s “Gossamer” debuts at No. 4, and the latest Kidz Bop collection falls down to No. 5. Maybe the next Kidz Bop set will have a few Gaslight Anthem or Passion Pit tunes.

This week’s chart slump should pick up next week, when Miami rapper Rick Ross’ “God Forgives, I Don’t” hits the chart.
