“Die Hard 5.” It’s real. And now it has a teaser trailer:

“A Good Day to Die Hard” stars Bruce Willis, of course, as John McClane, who has now taken to calling himself “the 007 of Plainfield, New Jersey.” But the way he says it — in a self-knowing, “I’m too old for this (mess)” kind of tone — makes this trailer, and the mere idea of a fifth “Die Hard” movie, go down smooth. Or smooth enough.
For my money, John McTiernan’s original “Die Hard” and Renny Harlin’s “Die Hard 2″ were the only worthwhile entries in the “Die Hard” franchise, but I don’t mind going back for another round. Director John Moore (“Behind Enemy Lines” and not much else) and its February release date (the movie’s due out on Valentine’s Day) aren’t particularly good signs, but hey, Bruce Willis has never made a bad career move before, right? Guys? Anyone?
More food for thought: “A Good Day to Die Hard” comes 25 years after the release of the original “Die Hard.” Feeling old yet? Imagine how John McClane feels.
