Progressive English rock act Muse will perform at Joe Louis Arena March 2, promoters announced Friday.
Tickets for the show go on sale at noon Oct. 12. Prices are TBA.
Muse’s sixth album, “The 2nd Law,” was released this week. It is expected to make a top five debut on next week’s Billboard Top 200 albums chart.
The group’s last album, 2009′s “The Resistance,” picked up a Grammy for Best Rock Album.
Muse’s last area performance was a March 2010 concert at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
Los Angeles rockers Dead Sara will open the Joe Louis show.
