Full disclosure: I don’t understand anything about David Blaine’s latest stunt. He’s being electrocuted by 1 million volts of electricity, or something, non-stop for three days, which sounds very dangerous, but apparently is not that dangerous because he’s a magician?
Anyway, last week it was announced that party rocker extraordinaire Andrew W.K. was going to play a keyboard solo through David Blaine’s body, which I also didn’t understand on any level. Are Andrew W.K. and David Blaine friends? Doesn’t David Blaine have more famous friends? Couldn’t he get the guy from Muse to play his touch pad guitar through his body, or get Coldplay to light up his body with Xylobands? And why did Andrew W.K. want any part of this? Was it even the real Andrew W.K.?
Anyway, here’s video of Andrew W.K. playing his keyboard and electrocuting David Blaine, or whatever. For his part, Blaine seems to be enjoying it. I still don’t think I have any idea what’s going on.
