Fun. is coming to the Fillmore Detroit in January

Are you ready to have some fun.?

Fun. — man, sometimes that period at the end of their name makes their name really annoying to type out — has scheduled a Jan. 26 date at the Fillmore Detroit, promoters announced Tuesday.

Tickets, $29.50-$35, go on sale at noon on Friday at LiveNation.com.

The band has had a huge 2012, with its smash hit “We Are Young” spending six weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 singles chart. Its album “Some Nights” peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Top 200 albums chart, and after 34 weeks it is at No. 19 on this week’s chart. The album’s title song is No. 4 on this week’s Hot 100.

The trio is composed of lead singer Nate Reuss, drummer Jack Antonoff and Michigan-raised pianist Andrew Dost, who lives in Royal Oak when he’s not touring the globe.

The group’s last Detroit concert was a sold-out show at Saint Andrew’s Hall in April.

The band is also slated to perform on the Nov. 3 episode of “Saturday Night Live,” with host Louis C.K.
