The Grobes dethrones the Biebs on this week’s Billboard’s Top 200 albums chart, as Josh Groban debuts at No. 1 with his latest, “All That Echoes.”
“All That Echoes” sold 145,000 copies its first week in stores, according to Nielsen SoundScan. It marks Josh “Mothergrabbin” Groban’s third No. 1 album, following his previous chart toppers “Closer” and “Noel.”
Tim “McLovin’” McGraw follows at No. 2 with “Two Lanes of Freedom,” while the latest “Now” collection — it’s No. 45, if you’re counting at home — Mumford & Sons’ Album of the Year winning “Babel” and Andrea Bocelli round out the top five. Justin Bieber’s “Believe Acoustic” set, which topped last week’s chart, slips to No. 6.
With Valentine’s Day hitting this week and with no big new releases hitting stores — the latest from Bullet for My Valentine and the musical-within-a-musical from “Smash” are the week’s biggest releases — Grobes has a good chance at grabbing next week’s top spot, as well.
