Popcorn Nachos

Mexican-style spices and shredded cheddar cheese are lively additions to plain popcorn. Adapted from a recipe from allrecipes.com.

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon paprika

16 cups hot, freshly popped popcorn

1/2 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican-flavored cheese

In a small bowl, mix butter, red pepper flakes, cumin and paprika. Place popcorn in a large bowl. Sprinkle with the butter mixture and cheddar cheese. Toss until well-combined.

Makes 8 servings.

Per serving: 193 calories (percent of calories from fat, 66), 4 g protein, 13 g carbohydrates, 2 g fiber, 15 g fat (9 g saturated), 38 mg cholesterol, 162 mg sodium.
