Grilled Spicy Flank Steak

2 pounds flank steak

1/3 cup red wine, preferably dry

1/4 cup olive oil

2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

2 tablespoons soy sauce

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon lime zest

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes, optional

Place flank steak in a shallow glass dish. Combine remaining ingredients and pour onto steak. Cover dish and allow to marinate in refrigerator for 2-8 hours. Preheat grill for medium heat. Remove meat from dish, reserving marinade.

Place steak onto grill and brush liberally with marinade. Cook for 5 minutes, turn, brush with marinade again and cook for additional 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and serve. Serves 6.
