1 cup whole milk
1 teaspoon brown sugar, packed
2 tablespoons whipping cream
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tablespoons chopped bittersweet or semisweet chocolate
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
Whisk milk, brown sugar, and whipping cream in saucepan over medium heat until mixture begins to simmer. Reduce heat to medium-low; add cocoa powder, chocolate and cinnamon; whisk until chocolate is melted and smooth. Pour hot chocolate into cup. Garnish with whipped cream if desired.
