Hopefully for Valtteri Filppula’s sake this won’t be a significant injury.
The Wings have just announced Filppula will not return to Sunday’s game after suffering a “lower body injury”.
Enjoying possibly the best start to any season in his career, it would be a costly loss for the Wings if Filppula were to miss any length of playing time.
By the way, here in Denver tonight, the Pepsi Center is maybe slightly more than half full.
It’s astonishing how far the Avalanche have fallen off the radar here in Denver.
