The more I think about the NHL realignment, I like what the league has done more and more.
The best part about it?
I love the fact every team comes to Joe Louis Arena now – and the Wings visit every other city in the NHL.
For the life of me, I couldn’t figure out why the league stayed away from that concept all these years. The NBA does it and has had success with it. The NHL should have been doing it years ago.
Every Original Six team will now play at JLA. Every team with a hot-shot rookie who may have played at JLA every two or three seasons will now play at JLA once per season.
And Wings fans get to see an increasing amount of games at a decent hour.
There are a lot of wins to this entire arrangement and not many negatives.
