There was a new player on the ice during today’s practice. Jan Mursak took part in his first practice since fracturing his ankle Sept. 25 in an exhibition game against Chicago. Mursak is hopeful of playing a few games in Grand Rapids in about two weeks, and play with the Wings the last week of December. “I felt pretty good, everything went real well,” said Mursak after practice. “The ankle is almost 100 percent but it’s still a little weak in certain positions.” Getting Mursak will only give the Wings more desirable depth up front.
