If you didn’t put the Red Wings and Vancouver Canucks into the “rivalry” category before, you can definitely do so now.
These teams do not like each other. With each passing game you can sense more bitterness.
And Niklas Kronwall’s hit on Ryan Kesler, plus Jimmy Howard not being happy with Vancouver’s Jannik Hansen allegedly running Howard, only amplified the feelings between the teams.
Especially the Kronwall and Kesler situation. That’s a play that is likely to be remembered for a while.
Great stuff to watch if you’re a hockey fan, though.
You can only imagine what kind of playoff series it would be if these teams met up in the spring.
It could get real testy.
