The Red Wings are going to take another look at prized prospect Gustav Nyquist.
At least Nyquist has been recalled from Grand Rapids, and will be available to play this weekend, as the Wings placed Tomas Holmstrom on the injured list.
Don’t be surprised, though, if Nyquist is in the lineup against Chicago tomorrow evening.
The Blackhawks are a skilled team and the Wings will likely dress Nyquist, while maybe scratching someone like Joakim Andersson, who was just recalled to play against St. Louis – a bigger, physical team.
A player like Nyquist matches better against Chicago than Andersson.
Holmstrom (groin) is likely to play at some point next week.
