As expected, Tomas Holmstrom was activated for tonight’s game against Chicago.
Going back down to Grand Rapids was forward Gustav Nyquist, who played in four games and had one assist in about seven minutes of playing time per game.
It was nice to see Nyquist get a little bigger chance in his second promotion to the NHL. And just like during the exhibition season, you could see the potential in Nyquist’s game.
This guy has great offensive instincts that will serve him well in the NHL.
Don’t be surprised to see Nyquist contributing at the NHL level next season.
