This is an incredible statistic.
Startling, even.
With a team full of offensive stars, some future Hall of Famers, the Red Wings’ power play has been awful.
Particularly on the road.
The Wings are, brace yourself here, 1-for-41 on the power play over their last 15 road games.
Really.
I’m not kidding.
And to be honest, if you’ve watched the Wings on the power play over the last few weeks, more often than not it has been a futile exercise.
They largely seem frozen, unwilling or unable to make a play.
Serious surgery has to be done to correct whatever it is ails them.
But, seriously, one goal in 41 attempts.
With this group?
Ridiculous. And improbable.
