Not surprisingly, Pavel Datsyuk has a lot of respect among his peers as evidenced by the results of the 2nd annual NHLPA/CBC Hockey Night in Canada Player Poll.
Datsyuk was voted the NHL’s smartest player, most difficult player to play against, hardest to take the puck from, most difficulat player to stop (voted by goalies only), cleanest player to play against and toughest forward to play against.
Nicklas Lidstrom was voted the best role model by the players.
A total of 257 players participated in the poll.
