Helm gone for game for Red Wings

Darren Helm missed several weeks of action with a sprained knee, but was able to return to the lineup for the Red Wings tonight. Now he’s headed back to the sidelines and will miss the rest of tonight’s game with Nashville after suffering a wrist injury in the first period.

Helm collided with Nashville’s Alexander Radulov along the boards and left the bench for the locker room shortly thereafter. He will be missed for the Red Wings and it’s unsure what strategy Mike Babcock will take with the speedy center out of action.

Second period action is underway in Nashville and the Red Wings came out with a strong cycle and will head to the power play as Roman Josi was called for cross checking at 1:10.
