Kronwall caught up ice, Nashville takes two-goal lead

Sergei Kostitsyn took full advantage of Niklas Kronwall being caught up ice, beating Jimmy Howard on a 2-on-1 with 3:30 left to give Nashville a 3-1 lead in Game 3 of this Western Conference quarterfinal series.

The goal came as the Red Wings were dominating the game, both in the shots on goal column and in the actual play. The goal came on Nashville’s third shot of the period.

The Red Wings will head to the power play with 1:37 left as David Legwand goes to the box for holding. We’ll play 6-on-4 as Howard will go to the bench for an extra attacker.
