Ian White has been passionate about his support for the Players Association and his frustration about commissioner Gary Bettman throughout this lockout.
Friday, White’s frustration boiled over.
“I personally think he’s an idiot,” said White Friday after a workout. “Since he’s come in, he’s done nothing but damaged the game.
“The moves he’s made, teams that are struggling he put in places where there’s not viable markets for hockey.”
White’s comments echo those of many players who are developing bitter feelings toward Bettman and this entire lockout.
You wonder how that will impact the league once this mess finally works itself out.
There will be many hard feelings that will need to somehow be ironed out for the betterment of the game.
There’s a lot of anger and frustration right now.
