Red Wings fans may finally have an opportunity to see their favorite players.
No, the lockout hasn’t ended.
But the Players Association is scheduling a charity game in Windsor Dec. 8 at
WFCU Center.
Dan Cleary, Niklas Kronwall, Justin Abdelkader, Todd Bertuzzi, Darren Helm, Ian White, Jonathan Ericsson, Cory Emmerton, Jimmy Howard and Jonas Gustavsson are Wings expected to participate.
Shawn Horcoff (Michigan State, Edmonton Oilers), Steve Ott (Buffalo Sabres, Windsor native) and former Plymouth Whaler James Neal (Pittsburgh) are some of the NHL players expected to play.
More details will be forthcoming closer to the date.
And, the game will only take place if the lockout hasn’t ended by that date.
