The Red Wings’ minor league affiliate saw their eight-game win streak end Sunday 3-2 to Milwaukee in Grand Rapids.
Goaltender Petr Mrazek lost his first pro game, after opening the season with six consecutive victories.
Tomas Tatar and Francis Pare scored for the Grffins. Tatar, one of the Wings’ top prospects, now has 10 goals and has 74 career goals for the Griffins, putting him one behind former Michigan State forward Kip Miller for fourth-place all-time on the Griffins list.
Grand Rapids (10-5-1-1) remain atop the Midwest Division and host Texas this weekend Friday and Saturday nights at Van Andel Arena.
