Kronwall doesn't return after being pushed into boards

Niklas Kronwall never did return in the first period after being pushed into the boards shoulder/head first by St. Louis forward Chris Stewart. Kronwall got up and skated to the bench but looked a bit woozy and may have hurt his shoulder.
Stewart will almost certainly be hearing from NHL disciplinarian Brendan Shanahan. How can Stewart not?
