A giant, new tax bill would turn John O’Hurley’s hair white, if it wasn’t already. The IRS claims the show tune-crooning, “Dancing with the Stars” vet, perhaps most famous for playing eccentric catalog poo-bah J. Peterman on “Seinfeld,” owes almost $220,000 in delinquent federal taxes.
His publicist, however, disputes the debt.
Maybe the IRS bill explains why O’Hurley is set to star in the straight-to-video chestnut “Beethoven’s Christmas Adventure” later this year. Or maybe he signed up to share screen time with the undisputed, pound-for-pound best actor to hail from Metro Detroit.
- The IRS filed a $219,864 lien against O’Hurley and his wife on May 19 with the Los Angeles County Recorder of Deeds.
The address on the tax bill is O’Hurley’s villa in Beverly Hills, Calif.:
