A Northville man was reappointed to the Board of Regents for Eastern Michigan University, one of two named by Gov. Rick Snyder on Thursday.
Mike Morris served on the board from 1997 to 2004, according to a press release from the governor’s office. Morris is president and chairman of AEP Energy in Ohio and is the former president of Consumers Energy. He has a bachelor’s and master’s degree from EMU.
Michael Hawks of East Lansing also was appointed. He is a partner at Governmental Consultant Services Inc. in Lansing. Hawks played football for EMU while earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration, according to Snyder’s office.
The terms are for eight years.
