The Secretary of State is using this year’s Veterans Day to remind Michiganians the department offer more than 25 vehicle license plates to honor those who served in various conflicts and branches of the military.
“On Veterans Day, we honor those who have risked their lives serving our country and defending our freedom,” Secretary of State Ruth Johnson said in a statement. “It’s a privilege to be able to recognize their service with special plates that commemorate their sacrifice.”
New this year are veterans plates for motorcycles and the Gold Star Family plate, which recognizes families who have lost a member in conflict.
More than 77,000 veteran plates are in circulation, the Secretary of State office says.
