Ryan and Biden say they don't want to send troops to Syria in VP debate

Biden: We’re working with allies in the region to ensure there’s a legitimate government when Bashar al-Assad is ousted.  He questions what more would Romney do other than send American boots on the ground? America does not need another war in the middle east, he says.

Ryan: Nobody is proposing to send American troops to Syria. However, he says, we wouldn’t refer to Assad as a reformer when he’s slaughtered tens of thousands of his own people. Ryan says a Romney administration wouldn’t be outsourcing foreign policy to the UN.
