What Obama needs to do in the debate

Tonight President Barack Obama need to demonstrate presidential leadership, explain his unfinished business, dismantle Romney’s arguments, said Edward Hinck, director of forensics at Central Michigan University.

“This will be problematic for Obama since this debate features a town hall format and he will speaking to citizens more than directly to Romney which was encouraged in the first debate,” Hinck said ”If the opportunity arises, he needs to remind voters of Romney’s campaign statements for the GOP presidential nomination to call into question Romney’s authenticity and appeal as a candidate who can work in bipartisan ways.

Hinck continued: “If the opportunities arise, he needs to remind the voters of what he has accomplished since he has come into office, an argument that refutes the claim made by Romney and Ryan that he has been unsuccessful as a leader and an argument that rallies his supporters to stay strong in the campaign.”
