Bolger makes House committee assignments for the 97th Legislature

Lansing – With 26 newly elected state representatives, the Michigan House is still getting organized while the state Senate is already starting to move legislation.

On Thursday, House Speaker Jase Bolger, R-Marshall, announced committee assignments and chairs of each panel, which means hearings will begin soon on bills that have been introduced in since the 97th Legislature first convened on Jan. 9.
