Middle Eastern ‘food has become my favorite go-to move when I am on the go. I am a chicken shawarma and shish tawook freak. I love the sandwiches and dinners with rice and hummus and fattoush. It is good and healthy food.
I try to limit the pita bread, but it is a delicious alternative when you are out and about.
I am ‘finding my favorite haunts in Detroit and Oakland County and am ashamed to say I have not been to a Middle Eastern restaurant in Dearborn, but my time for that is coming soon.

The other day I stopped by one of my favorite places for carryout before work and noticed a large photo of a cheeseburger, order of fries and a Coke in the window. It took me a while to figure out what was going on.
The place wanted to drum up new business and began promoting its hamburgers and fries. I was taken aback but understand. It was nothing personal. It was business.
Our society is programmed to eat fried food. That is what we love and that is what we love to feed our faces with.
