Snow Days in Chicago

It is not going to feel very wintry in Chicago this weekend, but that makes Snow Days at Navy Pier all that more enticing. If you’ve ever explored Chicago on a blustery winter day, you know it’s not fun!

Navy Pier’s annual event celebrates winter with a snow sculpting competition, dog sled races, snowboarding demonstrations by young pros, entertainment and family-related activities at one of the city’s most popular tourist and scenic attractions. Some 20 snow sculptures are expected to be displayed. The event runs this Friday through Sunday.

The nearby Affinia Chicago, the official hotel of Navy Pier, is offering a weekend special for Snow Days goers. Nightly rates begin at $159 and the promotion includes breakfast for two at C-House, overnight parking (a $49 value) and trolley rides to and from Navy Pier (just in case it is cold). The hotel is on East Superior Street, just off Michigan Avenue and several blocks from Navy Pier.

To book the Affinia package, go to Snow Days Chicago and mention promotional code SNODAY.

For more information on the three-day winter event, go to Snow Days Chicago at Navy Pier.
