Enter giveaway for chance to win book on 'knitting scarves'

Life-long crafter who owns Stitch DC, a local yarn shop in Washington, DC, has put together a book of patterns for knitted scarves in “The Very Easy Guide to Knitting Scarves, Step-by-Step Techniques, Easy-to-Follow Patterns, and 22 Projects to Get You Started” (St. Martin’s Griffin/$22.99).

Featured in the book are projects for all skill levels, from beginners to those who know their way around a Fair Isle pattern.

Projects include items for everyday wear, “cozy winter warmers,” and fancy evening wraps with lace details, all in yarns of different weights and textures.

For a chance to win a copy of the book, just email me at jbrown@detnews.com with a short story about your knitting and/or why you’d like to win a copy of the book. Please include the word “scarves” in the subject line, and remember to include your name and address.

Good Luck!!!
