If you’re planning a trip to the Big Apple and have some serious sightseeing in mind, buy a New York CityPASS.
The CityPASS will save you nearly 50 percent off the combined admission to six New York landmarks, including the Empire State Building, American Museum of Natural History, and the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). The CityPASS also includes a choice between the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island or a Circle Line Sightseeing Cruise, and a choice between the Guggenheim Museum and the Top of the Rock observation deck.
The price tag is $89 for adults ($166 value) and $64 for children ages 6-17. With the CityPASS, you also get to skip most main-entrance ticket lines. If you’re skeptical of the discount, consider that admission to theEmpireStateBuildingalone is $22. And that’s just to the 86th Floor Observatory. An audio tour costs more.
Passes can be purchased online at CityPASS and are valid for a nine-day period, beginning with the visit to your first attraction. Or you can buy the passes at participating landmarks. The CityPASS is also available for Boston, Atlanta, Chicago, Hollywood, Houston, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto and Southern California.
