One of the most adorable books for knitting items for newborns has recently been published. It’s called “What to Knit When You’re Expecting, Simple Mittens, Blankets, Hats & Sweaters for Baby” (Running Press/$20), and you can “expect” to have an enjoyable time selecting and knitting projects for your little bundle of joy.
Written by Nikki Van De Car, who writes a blog by the same name as the title, the book includes exciting projects with unique designs. Among them are bibs, booties, sweaters, blankets, hats, dresses, bloomers, burp cloths and so much more. Just think how rewarding it’ll be to pick and choose the color, yarn and style of garments your baby will be wearing for all to see and admire, and you can proudly say, “I made it myself.”
Each project includes a photo(s) and easy to follow step-by-step instructions that are also easy to read because the lines are well-spaced out.
If you’d like a chance at winning a copy of the book, just email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and tell me what having this book would mean to you. Please put the word ‘expecting’ in the subject line, and REMEMBER to include your name and address.
