Internationally recognized knitwear designer Nicky Epstein takes you round and round with her latest book, “Knitting in Circles, 100 Circular Patterns for Sweaters, Bags, Hats, Afghans, and More” ( Potter Craft/$29.95).
The designs in the book are absolutely stunning. Advanced knitters can select from a unique collection of patterns to create garments and accessories that are all made with circles, many designed with textured stitchwork.
Each piece has a very elegant and modern appeal. Some are dressy casual, while others are perfect for an exciting night out-on-the-town, like the “celestial shawl” or flirty “eternity dress.”
Much of this amazing book is devoted to instructions for knitting circles, from the very basic to those that are more elaborate, like the “bobble burst,” “honeycomb,” and “lace and points.”
If you’d like a chance to win a copy of the book, just email me at jbrown@detnews.com with a short story about one of your advanced knitting projects. Please put the word “CIRCLES” in the subject line, and REMEMBER to include your name and address.
Good Luck!!!
