“Downriver Arts & Crafts Holiday Sale is a one-day partnership between Wayne County Community College and Downriver Arts and Crafts Guild Scholarship Fund.
“Artwork and crafts will be offered for sale. Downriver artisans will provide community education through art demonstrations, including make & take projects for children. This is a great opportunity for the public to observe the high quality of arts and crafts that our art group have to offer the community.
“Through cross organizational volunteerism, each group will have a table to display and promote what their art group has to offer the public.
“Wayne County Community College is hosting the event which utilizes their resources, highlights the variety of art mediums, crafts and promotes public education.
No commision will be charged, however we ask that each participant make a donation of their own choosing to the Downriver Arts & Crafts Guild Scholarship Fund. This is a fundraiser for the scholarship and also helps pay for organizing and publicizing this event. This scholarship will enable a graduating high school senior to pursue a degree in the visual arts.”
